Shower solutions: walk-in and total look in the bathroom
The shower is a private corner of the home dedicated to relaxation. As such, the shower design finds the height of its expression when it effortlessly blends into our bathroom.
The new Cerasa shower systems – unique, recognisable and practical – are designed to offer a solution coordinated with the brand’s entire world of bathroom furniture.
NEW SHOWER SISTEMS
The new shower systems are available in three solutions. Nude, Slim and Bold. Each one defines this relaxing space in a new dimension, with a distinct personality and recognisable design.
↓ Nude is a modern take on purity: the frameless glass is supported by a single upright securing it to the wall, which thanks to its special end-piece can also double as a practical hanger. Its minimalist and contemporary design make it ideal for walk-in shower solutions, but feels just as light and airy with a two-way hinged door thanks to the elegant handle in a matching finish.
↓ Slim wraps the glass with a thin, 1 cm profile, elegantly framing the shower system. Here too, the wall profiles are embellished by the end-piece, which also serves as a practical towel or bathrobe hook. Just like Nude, Slim too is perfect for an essential walk-in shower or two-way hinged door.
↓ Bold on the other hand, frames the shower area with a 4 cm profile, achieving its maximum expression in the full-height glass version, up to the ceiling. And here more than ever, the walk-in shower – that is, an enclosure with the short side open, and very popular in contemporary furnishing designs – is showcased in all its glory. The frame also defines the internal space, highlighting the selected finishes.
The glass is available in Clear, Frosted, Smoked Grey or Smoked Brown finishes and is supplied standard 8mm thick with anti-limescale protection.
TREND OR TRUE CONVENIENCE?
Nude, Slim and Bold allow walk-in showers that are either ultra-light in the case of Nude, or more pronounced in the case of Bold. But what exactly is a walk-in shower?
A shower space enclosed on two or three sides without obstacles or doors to open. Naturally, adequate space is needed to make the most of it, normally a shower wall at least 120 cm long. Cerasa shower systems also offer a practical splash guard that slightly closes off the entry angle in these types of configurations, preventing any water spray. The advantages are clearly numerous: this type of shower is easy to access, amplifies the perception and size of the space and has a powerful impact on the design of the overall bathroom.
The walk-in has become a very popular choice in new constructions and renovations, a trend almost, but the advantages make it a truly viable and highly valued solution.
THE SHOWER TRAY:
WHITE OR COLOURED? SMOOTH OR TEXTURED?
The shower tray is key to the high performance of the shower space. The main factor determining our choice is the available space.
Then we choose the materials and colours. Cerasa shower trays range from white to textured colours: Vertigo is in matt smooth-effect Solysand White, while Nature, in stone resin, features a stone-effect texture proposed in White, but also Cement or Anthracite. These composite materials are all highly resistant, antibacterial and non-slip.
FAUCETS, SHOWER HEAD AND ACCESSORIES:
The shower head has gotten bigger over the years, playing an essential role in the relaxation experience offered by the shower. Cerasa proposes Round, featuring a generous 30 cm diameter for the perfect experience. In its most classic configuration, the shower head can be mounted on the wall or even the ceiling for a pleasant rainfall effect.
The Simply mixer is the perfect pairing, harmoniously coordinating the shapes and finishes of the profiles and accessories, as are the Cerasa mixers proposed for the washbasin and fixtures.
The Stilo range of accessories with Steel and Nickel finishes create continuity with the profile finishes.
The accessories include a practical support shelf and towel rack, distinguished by the possibility for mounting on either the wall or glass, in this case also mirrored, highlighting the optimisation of space and minimalist style characterising the project. A very practical solution that creates handy supports without drilling holes in the walls.
The end-piece of the uprights can similarly be considered an accessory insofar as specifically designed to be used as a towel hook.
TOTAL LOOK MADE IN CERASA
The Cerasa total look is all about the details: from the Skinglass wall covering (in fibreglass and which guarantees full protection against direct contact with water, moisture and steam, available in 44 different designs also for floors, furniture fronts and radiators), to the furnishing accessories (lamps, pouffes and occasional tables, or the matching Smoked Grey and Brown glass found in the elegant H2O top-mounted basin).
